I'm looking to graduate beyond stax, motown and Northern Soul collections. Aside from a few LPs by Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding, I have very little soul on vinyl. What are the essentials? Nothing too esoteric or funky please (a little funky i.e. 'Shaft' or 'Pusherman' is OK)
